Privacy policy
Short, in plain language and without small print.

Summary
- We do not sell or hand your data to anyone.
- We use no advertising cookies and we don’t follow you around the web.
- We only store your email if you give it to us (newsletter, price alert or account).
- You can ask us to delete everything of yours at any time, and we will.
What data we collect

We never ask for card details, ID numbers or a home address. CompraGuide does not process payments: if you buy, you do it directly on MercadoLibre, under their own policies.
2. Usage data (anonymous)
We use Vercel Analytics, a cookieless measurement tool that doesn’t build a profile of you or follow you between sites. It records, in aggregate and anonymously, which pages are visited, from which country and from what kind of device.
We also record, anonymously, which products get clicked in our guides: which product, from which page and in which language. We do not store your IP, any cookie, or anything that could identify you. It tells us which guides are useful and which ones need work.
3. Local storage in your browser
We keep a few things in your own browser’s localStorage — for example, the products
you added to the comparison tray. That never leaves your device: we don’t receive
it and we can’t see it. It disappears if you clear your browser data.
Who we share data with
Only the minimum providers needed to run the site:
- Vercel — site hosting and analytics
- Supabase — the database where subscribers and alerts are stored
- MercadoLibre — when you click a link, the marketplace receives the information its own affiliate system requires and applies its privacy policy, not ours
And nobody else. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.
How long we keep it
For as long as it’s useful to you: your newsletter subscription, until you unsubscribe; a price alert, until you delete it or it triggers. Anonymous usage data is kept in aggregate form.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what data of yours we hold, to correct it or to delete it entirely. Write to us from contact using the email in question and we’ll sort it out.
Every email we send also includes a direct unsubscribe link.
In Argentina, personal data protection is governed by Law 25.326, with the Agency for Access to Public Information as the enforcement authority.
Minors
This site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from that age group.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. Substantive changes are announced on the site.
