How we build our guides
No mystery: these are exactly the sources, the criteria and the limits of our work.

Where the data comes from
All of our data comes from MercadoLibre Argentina, through its public API. For each category we survey the real catalogue and work with:
- Current price and previous price (to check whether a discount is real)
- Availability and stock at the time of the survey
- Spec sheet as published by the seller or manufacturer
- Seller reputation and sales volume on the listing
- Brand and after-sales support in Argentina
We never copy rankings from other sites or translate foreign reviews. If a product isn’t available in Argentina, it doesn’t go in one of our guides.
What we look at in each category
Every guide defines its own criteria, because you don’t choose an electric kettle with the same checklist as a laptop. Those criteria are listed and explained in the guide itself, above the comparison table: what they are and why they matter for that specific decision.
Broadly, a product makes it into a guide if it meets:

Then we rank them and assign the awards: best overall (the one that suits most people), best price (the cheapest one worth buying) and premium (what you’d pick if budget weren’t the constraint).
Prices update every day
This is where we differ most. Every morning an automated process goes through every product in every guide, queries its current price on MercadoLibre and updates the site:
- If the price went up or down, it’s corrected.
- If a real discount appeared, we show the struck-through price.
- If the discount ended, we remove the struck-through price. We don’t leave phantom discounts around to make an offer look better than it is.
Even so, MercadoLibre prices can change at any point in the day. The price that counts is always the one on the listing, and our link takes you straight there so you can check before buying.
What we do NOT do (and would rather say out loud)
This part usually gets left out on sites like this one. We put it first:
- We do not physically test the products. We have no lab and we receive no review units. Our analysis is based on verifiable public data: spec sheets, prices, seller reputation and market behaviour. When you read “we tested this” on another site, it’s worth asking whether that’s true.
- We do not accept payment for inclusion. No brand can buy a slot, an award or a mention.
- We do not invent numbers. If we say we analysed 15 products, we analysed 15. You won’t find “tested for 200 hours” or made-up decimal scores here.
- We do not publish fake user reviews. That’s why our guides show no star ratings or aggregate user scores: we don’t have our own review base and we’re not going to pretend we do.
Use of artificial intelligence
We use AI tools to process catalogues, organise data and draft text. Every guide is reviewed before publication, and the hard data — prices, links, availability, brands — always comes from the MercadoLibre API, never from a language model. AI helps us write faster; it doesn’t decide what gets recommended and it doesn’t invent products.
We fix mistakes
If you spot wrong data, a price that doesn’t add up or a product that’s no longer available, let us know. We’ll correct it and, if the change is significant, update the guide’s date.
