Air conditioners, water heaters, fridges and thermostat heaters do NOT draw full power all the time: they cycle on and off to hold the temperature. Enter the hours of actual operation (less than the hours it's switched on), or the result will come out higher than the real one.

How it's calculated
- Consumption (kWh) = watts ÷ 1000 × hours of use.
- Cost = consumption (kWh) × your price per kWh.
- We multiply by the days of use to give you the monthly total.
